A&R is a fantasy trading game built around music artists. Each user gets a starting balance and can buy and sell artists based on their streaming momentum — the app tracks monthly listener counts over time and uses that to calculate artist valuations.

The thesis is that music fans already have strong intuitions about which artists are about to blow up — this gives them a way to act on those instincts.

This project started off as a playground for new AI tools, but quickly spread which was surprising.
